Change how notes are sorted

You can change how your notes are sorted in the menubar under "View" → "Sort By" on Mac and choose between the date edited, modified, or by title. This preference will be synced to your iOS devices.

Open the preferences and scroll down to the "General" section, you will find "Sort Notes By" at the bottom of that section:

Pro-Tips

• If you choose "title", you can prepend the folder and note names with numbers to control the order.

• Deselect "Sort Folders Above Notes", if you don't want that the folders are always sorted to the top. Then you can prepend a note with "!" or "0" to get it to the top of the sidebar, like "!Inbox" for example.
