How to share logs from the web app?

To help us troubleshoot your problem using the web app of NotePlan, please share the logs after the problem occurred. The logs are usually found in the "Console" of the browsers development tools. Alternatively, and usually more complete, you can start a session with Jam.dev which records your reproduction of the issue.

How to use Jam.Dev (Chrome only)

Note: The extension can cause issues when logging in with the Apple ID. Disable it after troubleshooting.

  1. Open the website: jam.dev
  2. Click on "Get Jam for Free" or "Get started for Free", which opens the Chrome Extension Store.
  3. Install the extension.
  4. In the welcome page, type in your email address and hit continue.
  5. Go to NotePlan's web app.
  6. Click on the Jam extension and hit "Record Tab".
  7. Now reproduce the issue in the web version. Take as long as you need.
  8. Hit stop and send us the link.

Get Console Logs from Chrome

1. Right click anywhere, then click on "Inspect".

2. Switch to "Console" in the window or split view that opens.

3. Right-click on the first entry and click on "Save as...".

4. Send us the saved file.

Get Console Logs from Safari

1. Right click anywhere, then click on "Inspect Element".

2. Switch to "Console" in the window or split view that opens.

3. Now click on one entry and then select all using CMD+A (or CTRL+A on Windows).

4. Right-click on the selected entries and click on "Save Selection".

5. Send us the saved file.
